The journey began with Mike, the founder and driving force behind the company. Like many young people starting out, Mike experienced a wide range of jobs, warehouse shifts, trades, and sales roles, gaining valuable life experience along the way. While he never shied away from hard work, he always felt something was missing. He wanted more than just a payslip, he wanted purpose.
What Mike truly enjoyed was connecting with people, being out and about, and delivering a service that left someone visibly happier. He’s a natural conversationalist, he’ll remember your dog’s name, ask about your weekend, and still leave your carpet looking better than you imagined possible.
That desire to do meaningful, quality work laid the foundation for Carpet Clean Direct. From day one, Mike built the business around the values he lives by: honesty, reliability, excellent craftsmanship, and good old-fashioned courtesy. And when it came to choosing a partner to help him build it, there was one person who fit the bill: his dad.
From the outset, Mike and his father, Ray, have worked side by side, building a trusted, family-run business that puts people and their homes first.
